April TBR

April is going to be a busy month for me because it is my last month of high school before finals begin so I have graduation, senior farewell and a two-week long study break. I don’t plan on getting a lot of reading done this month solely because I need to focus on getting ready for finals.

  1. I first want to finish the Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy series. This is a series of ten novellas written by Cassandra Clare that follows Simon Lewis a few months after the events of City of Heavenly Fire. I just started on the sixth one and I only have four to go. These novellas are such quick reads and I’m flying through all of them. They’re really good and really entertaining.
  2. After I’ve finished the novellas I hope to read Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare, the first book in The Dark Artifices series. This series will follow Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn, from the LA Institute, who are parabatai. The first book takes place five years after the events of City of Heavenly Fire. This is all I can say without spoiling City of Heavenly Fire for those of you who haven’t read it. This book is so intimidating but the way people have been raving about it makes me feel like I will fly through it. Some people have gone to the extent of calling it Clare’s best work to date, but I’ll only be able to tell once I’ve read the book.

That’s all I plan on reading this month. Let me know what you plan on reading this month, and if you’ve read any of the books I mentioned, let me know what you thought. Have a great April!
